Amity's Community Radio launched

A brand new Radio station of Amity a dream of our founder president Founder President Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan.Platform for unknown faces of society and community,a platform for raining information , entertainment and interviews of eminent personalities.



 Amity's "Sangathan 2013- Inter Institutional Sports Meet" came to an end on Thursday with the launch of its first state-of -the-art Community Radio Station- 'Radio Amity'. The FM radio station was launched by Ashok K Chauhan, founder president which will be on air 24 hours on 107.8 MHz over a radius of 15 kilometres, covering a thickly populated neighbourhood of the university. It would be run by students of Amity University.
'Radio Amity' intends to cater to health, educational, environmental, community development, cultural and social welfare, entertainment and awareness and other significant matters. The radio station has its own broadcasting, production and recording facilities as well as transmission.
Earlier, the sports meet which is organized to promote sports culture and sportsmanship amongst the youth of the country, concluded at Amity University, Sector - 125, Noida.
Sangathan 2013 commenced on September 18, 2013 and more than 10,000 students of higher education institutions from all Amity campuses located across India and abroad participated in various sports events including hockey, cricket, football, tennis, swimming, and squash among others.
The team from Amity School of Engineering and Technology lifted the "Sangathan" trophy with 19 gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze medals. Amity Law School, Noida, with 16 gold, 15 silver and 5 bronze medals, was given runners up trophy. The combined teams of Amity Institute of Nanotechnology and Amity Institute of Advanced Research and Studies bagged the second runners up trophy with 8 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.
